Game Variations: Stableford
|
This format is very popular at it allows an individual
golfer to play the course on their own merit. It also allows the
player, when having a bad hole, to pick the ball up without penalty
and move onto the next hole.
Key Features: Stableford |
Each player plays their own ball and scores
points based on their nett score on each hole.
Points are scored based on the table below and shows the difference between the
nett score of the player against the par of each hole.
Once a player has had a certain number of strokes that exceed their "shot" allocation
for that hole, they can pick their ball up and move to the next hole.
Each hole is rated for difficulty which is recorded on the card under "Index",
so players are aware of where they are going to receive shots for a particular
hole. |
