Mizuno Golf has taken a step back with the MP-18 to create a more ‘hands on’ approach to this new muscle back Iron - by avoiding the modern-day, computerised engineering method.
This included reverting back to Mizuno’s Master Craftsman, ‘Turbo’, who worked very closely with Nick Faldo during his dominating years on Tour.
Turbo also worked with Seve Ballesteros and Sandy Lyle - who happened to be some of the best ball strikers that we’ve ever seen.
Faldo was also included in the MP-18 production team to create a Muscle back, worthy of the best ball strikers in the world. The end result brings back the golden age with smaller, shorter and thinner heads than the previous models, and limited offset - all aspects that better player’s want to see at address.
With the MP-18 traditional aesthetics comes a modern interior with the greatest Mizuno achievements from past models packed into a smaller bladed head. This includes the 1025E Steel material that is Grain Flow Forged for the ultimate blade feel, control and consistency.
