Graphite Design Tour AD XC Shaft

The Graphite Design Tour AD XC (Xtra Carry) Shaft profile is softer in the butt section, stiff in the centre section and has a stiff tip to promote low/mid launch angle with low ball spin. The Tour AD XC also utilises the TORAYCA M40X carbon-fibre pre-preg in the Mid to Tip Section of the shaft as well as the TORAYCA T1100G carbon-fibre pre-preg with NANOALLOY technology in the tip section of the shaft for unrivalled shaft stability and precise ball control, without the loss of the exceptional feel that Graphite Design shafts are so well known for.

The Graphite Design Tour AD XC, like the other high performance Tour AD wood shafts, utilises premium, aerospace quality carbon-fiber materials, is designed and manufactured at the Graphite Design Japan factory headquarters. It is offered in black with silver and red accents, a silver fade at the tip and finished with a matte clear coat. They have a 0.335" tip size and are suitable for use with driver and fairway woods.

  TORAYCAR M40X pre-preg is the latest in cutting-edge carbon-fibre materials from Toray Industries, Inc. Before TORAYCA® M40X, carbon fibre pre-preg materials were either high in tensile modulus or high in tensile strength, but not high in both. The new TORAYCA M40X pre-preg offers a significant improvement in tensile strength, with a 30% increase over conventional carbon fibre materials.   Material Stiffness Integration, MSI, is the main design concept by which Graphite Design develops its premium golf shafts. Composite materials consist of two main components: graphite fibres and resin. The stiffness of the many different fibre types that Graphite Design utilises has an impact on how the shaft profile bends in relation to the player's input during the swing. The resin not only helps to maintain the structural integrity of the shaft but also acts more like a sponge, absorbing unwanted vibrations to help create the exquisite feel that Graphite Design shafts are so well known for.
