2026 has been nothing short of power-packed for golfers with the new line-up of drivers on offer.
We’re going to break down what’s new, how they differ from previous models, and give all the information you need to make your next driver the best pick for your game
NEW 2026 DRIVERS
Callaway Quantum
TaylorMade Qi4D
Cobra OPTM
Wilson DYNAPWR Max+
Mizuno JPX ONE
Titleist GTS
PING G440K
CALLAWAY QUANTUM
What’s new?
The key difference in the Callaway Quantum 2026 Drivers are the introduction of Callaway’s Tri-Force Face - which layers ultra-thin titanium, poly mesh, and carbon fiber into a single system.
Callaway’s Next Gen AI-Optimised Face Design, enables the Tri-Force Face to provide consistent performance that aims to maximize ball speed, rebound, and forgiveness across the entire face of the club.
Models
Quantum Triple Diamond - lower launch and spin, aimed for the better player.
Quantum Triple Diamond Max - same as the TD, but with a slightly bigger head for forgiveness.
Quantum MAX - suited for the majority of golfers. Blend of forgiveness and speed.
Quantum MAX Fast - lightweight, high-MOI model. Built to help increase club speed.
Quantum MAX D - maximum forgiveness model, with a slight draw-bias weighting.
The Bottom Line
A super solid driver line-up, with a model to suit every golfer.
Strong stock shaft options - Fujikura Ventus Black included which is a premium offering for stock.
TAYLORMADE Qi4D
What’s new?
The key unique focus in the TaylorMade Qi4D Drivers are the REAX Shafts. 3 models, specialised to suit how you release the club through the ball.
These shaft options are based on 11 million shots, captured over 20+ years, allowing golfers to quickly identify their rotation rate and play a shaft that matches their unique swing profile.
This helps with a more precise shaft fitting and helps golfers achieve more centered contact, increased speed, distance, and accuracy.
We’ve also seen refined shape and looks, with a new bulge-and-roll radius for improved spin consistency, as well as a new-and-improved Speed Pocket adding forgiveness on low strikes.
Models
TaylorMade Qi4D (core) - the default model for the majority of golfers.
TaylorMade Qi4D LS - lower spin, lower launch model.
TaylorMade Qi4D Max - made from titanium, not carbon. Lighter model offering maximum forgiveness.
TaylorMade Qi4D Max Lite - ultralight model, for those wanting maximum help gaining speed.
The Bottom Line
Great lineup with models to suit all golfers.
The focus on REAX shafts initially may be a sticking point for golfers, who are used to other stock options in previous models.
COBRA OPTM
What’s new?
The big story with the OPTM is Cobra's introduction of POI (Product of Inertia) technology. While MOI measures a club's stability and forgiveness in horizontal and vertical directions, POI measures stability diagonally, optimising the clubhead across all three axes to reduce twisting at impact.
Cobra's testing backs this up, with the OPTM producing a 23% tighter dispersion compared to previous models.
The OPTM range also features Cobra's FutureFit33 hosel, offering 33 unique loft and lie settings and SMARTPAD which keeps the face looking square at address regardless of the setting chosen.
Models
Cobra OPTM LS - low spin, low launch model. Aimed at the better player.
Cobra OPTM X - the core model, good blend of forgiveness and speed. Suitable for most golfers.
Cobra OPTM MAX-K - maximum forgiveness model.
Cobra OPTM MAX-D - maximum forgiveness with a draw-bias weighting.
The Bottom Line
Don’t sleep on Cobra, they’ve had great driver products for a long time that fly under the radar.
POI is a fresh and interesting angle on forgiveness, combined with the extensive adjustability of the FutureFit33 hosel, you can really dial in the OPTM to fit your game and improve.
WILSON DYNAPWR MAX+
What’s new?
The DYNAPWR Max+ is a new addition to Wilson's existing DYNAPWR lineup, and the headline is big: it's Wilson's highest MOI driver ever, crossing the 10,000 g/cm² threshold.
The face features Wilson's newly optimised PKR-360 design, delivering faster ball speeds and better spin retention across the entire face, with an AI-driven design unique to this model.
A flippable 26g rear weight allows golfers to fine-tune shot shaping, and a 6-way adjustable hosel gives further control over launch angle and face angle.
The Bottom Line
Wilson has quietly been building one of the best value propositions in golf, and the Max+ continues that trend, offering genuine 10K MOI performance at a significantly lower price point than comparable models from other brands.
It also comes with a stock option of the UST LIN-Q Power-Core Blue shaft, widely regarded as one of the best stock shafts of 2026. A compelling option for higher handicappers who want premium forgiveness without the premium price tag.
MIZUNO JPX ONE
What’s new?
The JPX ONE marks a major step forward for Mizuno in the driver category. The headline technology is the world's first NanoAlloy face.
Using microscopic polymer dispersion to produce a face that dynamically alters elasticity under impact, storing and releasing more energy than traditional titanium or composite constructions. It’s a real advance forward in the driver face category.
The JPX ONE replaces Mizuno's previous ST premium driver series, signalling a clear repositioning for the brand in the driver market.
Models
Mizuno JPX ONE - the standard model with a slightly larger footprint, designed for greater MOI, stability, and a straighter ball flight. Suited to the majority of golfers.
Mizuno JPX ONE Select - a more compact, tour-preferred shape for better players who want workability and shot-shaping capability.
The Bottom Line
Mizuno have made some big claims with the JPX ONE, and the NanoAlloy face technology is genuinely exciting. Mizuno fans who've been waiting for the brand to truly compete in the driver space will find plenty to like here. Two well-defined models mean both everyday golfers and better players are catered for.
This is a driver that deserves to be on your testing list for 2026.
TITLEIST GTS
What’s new?
The GTS range succeeds the popular GT series and brings some meaningful upgrades.
At the centre of the new lineup is the Split Mass Frame, a redesigned internal structure built around a full thermoform body made from Titleist's Proprietary Matrix Polymer (PMP), a lightweight composite that enables engineers to reposition mass more efficiently throughout the head.
The GTS has weight pushed rearward for stability and forgiveness, while additional mass is positioned low and forward to optimise speed, launch, and spin. The GTS range also introduces refined aerodynamics and an updated Speed Sync face design.
Models
Titleist GTS2 - the most forgiving model in the range, designed for golfers who need speed and consistency. Suited to a wide range of players.
Titleist GTS3 - lower spin than the GTS2 with a penetrating ball flight and Titleist's most adjustable setup ever, offering up to 16 different loft and lie combinations. For the better player who wants to shape shots.
Titleist GTS4 - the lowest-spin option. It also has a more compact head with deeper face, and an aggressive forward CG for a lower piercing flight.
The Bottom Line
The Split Mass Frame is a genuinely clever piece of engineering, and the three-model lineup gives golfers a clear pathway based on their swing speed and spin needs.
If you were a GT fan, the GTS will feel like a natural and worthwhile upgrade.
PING G440K
What’s new?
The G440K is the direct successor to the much-loved G430 Max, and PING has pushed the forgiveness needle even further.
The headline technology is the Dual Carbonfly Wrap, a multi-layered carbon crown and sole that replaces heavier titanium, saving weight from the crown, sole, and hosel, with the redistributed mass lower and deeper in the head.
The new 32-gram adjustable back weight is 4 grams heavier than the G430 Max design, pushing the centre of gravity lower and further back to increase MOI and drive forgiveness to a new level. The result is a record-setting MOI for any PING driver to date.
The Bottom Line
If the G430 Max 10K was already one of the most forgiving drivers ever made, the G440K takes it a step further.
It's built specifically for golfers who want more consistency off the tee without sacrificing distance. For higher handicappers or anyone who struggles with dispersion, this should be right at the top of the list to try out.
