Cobra King F7 Driver Preview

Cobra King F7 Driver Preview

At the start of most of these reviews/previews follows a comment about 'how excited we are' or 'how much better this is to last year'. Well, I'm going to say it again. But this time I am 100% sure you have not seen anything like this before. Grabbed your attention yet?

With the name ' F7', you'd be right to think that you're about to pilot a machine. This powerful and aerodynamic innovation is set to 'propel' our golf games into us becoming the next M̶a̶s̶t̶e̶r̶s̶ ̶C̶h̶a̶m̶p̶i̶o̶n̶ Club Champion.

With the previews you hear about the F7, it's easy to think that the technology of the driver has taken the passenger seat in the F7 story. Due to the inclusion of the Cobra Connect that seems to of taken the limelight. But I am happy to say that this is incorrect, as changes have been made to improve the F7 from the previous model.  This includes a larger head profile that increases power, forgiveness and overall speed off of the face.

A 20% lighter crown allows for a huge weight saving within the structure. This consequently moves the CG location lower and deeper in the head for maximum distance and forgiveness.

A completely re-designed  Forged 811 titanium face produces faster ball speeds across a larger sweet zone. This partners the popular and very simple MYFLY technology, with eight different loft and lie combinations available in one head. Whilst the Smartpad keeps the clubhead square at address, regardless of the loft or lie option selected.

The F6 successor arrives with an arsenal of two 2g grams weights and a coloured, heavier 12g weight that is clearly  visible on the base of the driver (this can be moved with the Cobra tool that is included). This new weighting system changes the CG location in the driver to give players the opportunity to personalise the launch characteristics and further enhance their ball flight, with improved distance and control from the tee.

Weight in the front - Produces a penetrating ball flight, with lower spin and increased roll.

Weight in the back - Produces a higher launch angle, with increased spin and longer carry distances.

Weight in the heel - Produces a draw biased ball flight with increase hook spin and helps correct slice.

Cobra Connect Technology

The F7 is not only an extremely high performance driver, it is also packed with the latest GPS gizmo that can track your driving stats. Powered by Arccos Systems, this 'little gadget' will lodge your driving accuracy, carry and total distance and also allows you to compete and compare again golfing friends. It also has the potential to end all driving feuds and can even turn the best friendships into a 'Phil and Tiger' kind of relationship.

Once the driver is paired with the smartphone app, one of the 40,000 international courses could become your 'kingdom' as you battle to be crowned the 'King of the hole'. If you are dethroned, then you will receive a notification that informs you of the new distance and who beat you. So that you can reclaim what is rightfully yours, your Majesty!

Lasting Impression

I have had the pleasure of hitting this and it feels like you can't miss. Obviously you can miss. However, I felt in control, and the only way I was going to miss a fairway was by carrying it. Impressed!
