Mizuno JPX EZ Driver 2016 Review

If you had to create your own golf driver, what would be your main focus?

Personally, i would create a driver head that looks appealing at address and allows me to produce a more confident golf swing. Well, either Mizuno have read my mind, or this is a more common request than what i first anticipated. As the new Mizuno JPX EX Driver features one of the friendliest heads at address that i have ever seen. Designed with a larger footprint than previous models the new EZ is a high launching, low spinning driver with multiple adjustment options.

The Mizuno EZ Driver made its debut with Mizuno Staff Player Luke Donald at the 2015 BMW Championship at Wentworth,UK as he didn't hesitate in equipping this to golf bag arsenal. The colour scheme turned heads at the event, with its vivid blue and black colour scheme. Three simple weight slots allow for easy adjustability, to suit each specific golfer requirements.

With the JPX EZ we now have a second adjustable driver option for players with either a little less ball speed or those who want a bit more stability from off centre strikes. It's not a case of ability we have professionals like Luke Donald and Daan Huizing who have put the JPX EZ into play on tour. Luke Donald felt more secure with the extra forgiveness.

Manufacturers each year produce a driver that features new weight technology to further develop our games. The only issue is the extra weight actually causes more issues that what we realised. Adding weight to the sole of a driver effects the playability for some golfers due to the change in CG location etc. Mizuno golf have addressed this issue with the new JPX EX driver by featuring three simple weight ports in the sole of the driver that maintains the forgiveness that you usually get with the non adjustable drivers.
